Welcome back to another edition of our WWE Raw results and recap post, bringing you all the interesting talking points from the latest episode of Raw. This week’s episode was around the Valentine’s Day period but the theme of the show was centered around Kane’s desire to make John Cena ‘embrace the hate’.
Right from the opening second, Kane made it very clear that John Cena would embrace the hate before the end of the show and in the last several minutes, despite Cena’s repeated claims that he will not, it seemed like John Cena was at the breaking point. Zack Ryder was in attendance in a neck and back brace in a wheelchair to deliver flowers to the love of his live Eve Torres. But it turned out that Eve liked John Cena and actually made out with him which Ryder had to painfully witness.
There were also several matches centered around the upcoming Elimination Chamber match. The opening sequence featured the contestants engaging in a ‘debate’ that was hilarious to see from many standpoints. Chris Jericho kept insisting that everyone around him are wanabes and further progressed his beef with CM Punk who couldn’t resist to refer to Jericho as the guy who was the seventh guy to leave “Dancing With The Stars”.
A Smackdown matchup between Randy Orton and Big Show went just as conniving Daniel Bryan would have wished. John Laurinaitis was also back in the fray of things as his job looks to be temporarily secured. Otunga dropped a hint that Laurinaitis would make his position permanent and even take the reigns of the Smackdown show but we will have to see how that progresses.
Last but not least was HBK’s appearance which despite his self admitted nervousness ended up turning into a great segment. HBK confronted his old pal Triple H on why he wasn’t accepting a rematch with Undertaker. HBK went as far as calling HHH a coward but it would not be enough to get the cerebral assassin to change his mind. An Undertaker video message seemed to further infuriate the WWE COO and interesting times lay ahead as far as how the HHH vs Undertaker rematch will come together.
