The 2012 All Star Game takes place on the 26th of February in Orlando and the full teams for both sides were recently announced. There announced reserves included veteran players that we have come to expect seeing in the annual showcase but there were also 5 first timers named which should bring in some excitement to the game.

The Eastern Conference starters were Derrick Rose, Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony and Dwight Howard. Constituting the Eastern Conference bench is Joe Johnson, Deron Williams, Paul Pierce, Chris Bosh, and first timers Luol Deng (first British All Star), Andre Iguodala, and big man Roy Hibert.
The Western Conference will see four starters from LA, including Chris Paul, Kobe Bryant, Blake Griffin and Andrew Bynum as well as Kevin Durant who’s one of the favorites to capture the MVP this year. On the bench are a trio of PGs in Russell Westbrook, Steve Nash, and Tony Parker as well as Dirk Nowitzki and Kevin Love. LaMarcus Aldridge and Marc Gasol will play in their first All Star game.
What do you think of the 2012 All Star reserves? Anyone you think that was snubbed (Millsap) or unfairly included (Nowitizki)?
