Miami Heat vs NY Knicks Preview (1/27/2012)

The Heat vs Knicks square off for the first time this season as two of the most star studded teams in the Eastern Conference resume a new found rivalry. The Miami Heat have clearly been the more successful side since putting together what has to undeniably be considered the best ‘big 3′ in the NBA. New York’s attempt at forming their own superstar trio hasn’t come together all that well, with Carmelo and Amar’e not fitting that well with either Billups last year or Chandler this year.

Can LeBron and company hand New York their 8th defeat in their last 9 games?

The Knicks of course have bigger problems than their big 3, with the team operating currently without a valid point guard. Baron Davis is working hard behind the scenes to make a swift return, but even Boom Dizzle would have to return to his Golden State Warriors days to really make a tangible impact. Carmelo’s recent injury surely won’t help things either.

The Miami Heat have bounced back since a surprise loss to Milwaukee, winning their last 2 games despite a close one over at the Palace in Detroit in their last game. They have had to do without Dwyane Wade for much of the season, but LeBron and Chris Bosh have stepped it up to make up the difference.
