The first quarter of the Cavaliers vs Bulls seemed to indicate that the Cavaliers were going to make short work of Chicago Bulls. The Bulls fought back in gritty fashion in the 3rd quarter and let it be known that this wasn’t going to be a walk in the park. Let’s look forward to the Cavaliers vs Bulls Game 2, and how the Bulls can make their post season journey last a tad bit longer.
Cavaliers vs Bulls Game 2
The first thing the Bulls need to do if they have a chance of upsetting the Eastern Conference #1 seed is to box out their man and grab the defensive rebounds. The Cavaliers’ front court were absolutely dominating the boards and against a superior side, you just can’t afford to give second chance opportunities.
What seemed to work quite well against the Cleveland Cavaliers was a zone defense. The Cavaliers have a bunch of able three point shooters, but that still takes out the Cavs’ best two offensive options (LeBron and Shaq) – which the Bulls will be happy to live with.
Luol Deng did a great job on LeBron when he was matched up with the MVP in the half court, but Deng is the Bulls’ second most effective scorer, so a zone will give him the rest necessary.
Ronald Murray is a crucial offensive spark off the bench which the bulls desperately need.
If the Bulls continue their strong defense and the Cavaliers 3’s don’t go in – you never know what could happen.
How do you see the Cavaliers vs Bulls Game 2 game going?
